Gençlerbirliği was the Turkish club managed by Baxter. It is a professional football club based in Ankara, Turkey. The club was founded in 1923 and currently plays in the TFF First League, the second tier of Turkish football. Gençlerbirliği has won the Turkish Cup twice, in 1987 and 2001, and has also finished as runners-up in the Turkish Super League on two occasions, in 1987 and 2003.
