Answer
Adnan Menderes, the first Prime Minister of Turkey, identified Süleyman Demirel as a future Prime Minister candidate. This was in the 1950s, when Demirel was still a young politician. Menderes saw Demirel's potential and believed that he would be a great leader for Turkey. Demirel went on to become Prime Minister himself in 1965 and served in that position for three terms.
