Sunil Gavaskar was born on 10 July 1949 in Mumbai. He is a former Indian cricketer who played as a right-handed opening batsman. Gavaskar is considered to be one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He played 125 Tests for India from 1971 to 1987, scoring 10,122 runs at an average of 51.11, including 34 centuries and 51 half-centuries.
