Which invasions had caused much of the arable land in Upper Burma to lapse into wilderness before Swa Saw Ke reclaimed it?

  • Maw invasions

  • Mongol invasions

  • British invasions

  • Thai invasions

Answer

The Mongol invasions had caused much of the arable land in Upper Burma to lapse into wilderness before Swa Saw Ke reclaimed it. The Mongols had been attacking the region since the 1250s, and by the early 1300s they had largely destroyed the infrastructure and agriculture of the area. This left much of the land in Upper Burma abandoned and in ruins.
