Wiltord retired in 2012, at the age of 36. He had played for a number of clubs during his career, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers. He was a key player for Arsenal during their "Invincibles" season in 2003-04, when they went unbeaten in the Premier League. He also represented France at international level, winning the 2000 European Championship and the 2003 Confederations Cup.
