The Calder Memorial Trophy is an award given annually to the National Hockey League rookie of the year. Teemu Selänne won the award in 1992-93 for his performance with the Winnipeg Jets. He scored 76 goals and 56 assists in 84 games, becoming the first rookie to score 70 goals in a season. He also led the NHL in points with 132, and was named to the NHL All-Star Team.
