Beginning in 2011, Adam Kinzinger represented Illinois' 16th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, he served four terms until 2023. Kinzinger gained national recognition for his outspoken criticism of former President Donald Trump and his role as a member of the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
