Animal Hamaguchi was Naito's initial trainer. Hamaguchi is a retired Japanese professional wrestler who is best known for his work in All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). He is a former AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion and World Tag Team Champion. Hamaguchi is also a member of the Japanese Wrestling Hall of Fame.
