Tim LaHaye was born on April 27, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a Christian minister and author who is best known for co-authoring the Left Behind series of apocalyptic novels with Jerry B. Jenkins. LaHaye was also a founder of the American Coalition for Traditional Values, a conservative Christian lobbying group.
