Tim Wakefield was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1987 Major League Baseball Draft. He pitched for the Pirates from 1992 to 1995, before being traded to the Boston Red Sox. He played for the Red Sox from 1995 to 2011, and was a key part of their 2004 World Series championship team. He retired after the 2011 season.
