The Treaty of Mangalore, signed in 1784, was an agreement between the British East India Company and Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore. The treaty ended the Second Anglo-Mysore War and restored the pre-war boundaries between the two powers. Tipu Sultan also agreed to pay a war indemnity to the British and to release all British prisoners.
