Tyler, The Creator is the stage name of Tyler Gregory Okonma, an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, music video director, actor, and comedian. He is the founder and leader of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future, which he formed in 2007. Okonma was born in Ladera Heights, California, and raised in Los Angeles. He began making music as a teenager, releasing his debut mixtape Bastard in 2009.
