Urban Meyer grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio, where he attended Ashtabula High School and played football. He went on to play college football at Ohio State University, where he was a two-time All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1997. After college, he began his coaching career at Bowling Green State University, where he led the team to a 10-3 record and a share of the MAC championship in 2002.
