USL-1, now known as Division II, was once considered a separate division within the United States Football League (USFL). The USFL operated as a professional American football league from 1983 to 1986. During its existence, the USFL was divided into three conferences: the Eastern Conference, the Central Conference, and the Western Conference. Each conference was further divided into two divisions: the North Division and the South Division.
