Answer
King Alfonso XIII of Spain was the husband of Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg. They were married on 31 May 1906 at the Royal Palace of Madrid. The marriage was unpopular with the Spanish public, as Victoria Eugenie was a foreigner and a Protestant. They had eight children together, but only three survived to adulthood.
