Born in 1930, Vigdís Finnbogadóttir is an Icelandic politician who served as the fourth President of Iceland from 1980 to 1996. She was the world's first democratically elected female president and the second female president in the world after Argentina's Isabel Perón. She is also the longest-serving president of Iceland.
