Answer
The 1975 World Chess Championship was a rematch of the 1972 World Chess Championship between defending champion Bobby Fischer and challenger Anatoly Karpov. The match was scheduled to take place in Yugoslavia, but Fischer withdrew in June 1975, after several disputes with the organizers. As a result, Karpov was declared the champion by default.
