Agent Violette Szabo was a British Special Operations Executive agent who worked behind enemy lines in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. She was born in Paris to a French mother and an English father, and grew up in London. Recruited by the SOE in 1940, she underwent rigorous training and was eventually sent to France in 1944 as a wireless operator.
