Vladislav Tretiak was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1997. He is considered one of the greatest goaltenders of all time, and is credited with helping the Soviet Union win three Olympic gold medals and eight world championships. He was also a member of the Soviet Union's national team that won the Canada Cup in 1981.
