Walter Mondale was a member of the Democratic Party. He was a politician from Minnesota and served as the 42nd Vice President of the United States from 1977 to 1981 under President Jimmy Carter. He was also the Democratic Party's nominee for President in the 1984 election, but lost to incumbent President Ronald Reagan.
