Walther Bothe was born on 8 January 1891 in Strasbourg, German Empire. He was a German physicist and Nobel Prize laureate in physics in 1954. He shared the award with Max Born for their fundamental work in quantum mechanics, especially for the statistical interpretation of the wave function.
