What did the Polish Committee of National Liberation develop into?

  • Hungarian People's Republic

  • Czechoslovak Socialist Republic

  • Polish People's Republic

  • Romanian People's Republic

Answer

The Polish Committee of National Liberation was a provisional government set up in Moscow in 1944. It was recognised by the Soviet Union and its allies, but not by the United Kingdom or the United States. In 1945, the committee was renamed the Provisional Government of the Republic of Poland, and in 1947 it became the Polish People's Republic.
