Wanda Wasilewska was born in Warsaw, Poland on 24 August 1905. She was a Polish communist politician and activist who was one of the leaders of the Polish resistance movement during World War II. She was also a member of the Polish Sejm and the Council of Ministers of the Polish People's Republic. Wasilewska was a strong supporter of Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union.
