The Christopher Commission was an independent commission established in 1991 by Mayor Tom Bradley of Los Angeles to examine the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and recommend ways to improve the department's relationship with the community. Christopher chaired the commission, which was composed of seven other members: Warren Christopher, John A. McCone, William H. Webster, Warren Christopher, John A. McCone, William H. Webster, Louis F. Sullivan, and David M. Walker.
