Joseph Barbera was an American animator, director, producer, and screenwriter. He was one half of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon studio, which he founded with William Hanna in 1957. Barbera was the voice actor for Tom in the Tom and Jerry cartoons. He also created and produced many other popular cartoons, including The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, and Yogi Bear.
