Answer
Troilus and Cressida is Walton's only full-length opera. It is based on Shakespeare's play of the same name, and was first performed at Covent Garden in London in 1954. The opera is set in ancient Troy, and tells the story of the love affair between Troilus and Cressida, which is destroyed by the war between the Greeks and Trojans.
