Wim Kok served as Chairman of the Federation of Dutch Trade Unions (NVV) from 1973 to 1986. During his tenure, he was a key figure in the negotiation of the 1982 Wassenaar Agreement, which brought about significant changes to the Dutch labor market. After leaving the NVV, Kok served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 1994 to 2002.
