Władysław Anders was a Polish general. He served in the Polish Army from 1914 to 1945. He fought in World War I, the Polish-Soviet War, and World War II. He was a commander of the Polish II Corps in Italy during World War II. After the war, he served as the head of the Polish Armed Forces in the West. He died in 1970.
