Yahya Khan was a military dictator who ruled Pakistan from 1969 to 1971. He is widely regarded as the chief architect of the genocide in Bangladesh, in which up to 3 million people were killed. Khan's actions during the Bangladesh War of Independence are seen as a betrayal of the Bengali people, and he is still reviled by many Bangladeshis today.
