Answer
Pugachev's Rebellion lasted for more than a year, from 1773 to 1774. It was a peasant uprising in Russia led by Yemelyan Pugachev, who claimed to be the long-lost Tsar Peter III. The rebellion began in the Ural Mountains and spread to much of southern Russia. The rebels were eventually defeated by the Russian army, and Pugachev was executed.
