Answer
In the 2008 general elections, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) emerged as the largest party in the National Assembly, leading to Yousaf Raza Gilani's appointment as the 17th Prime Minister of Pakistan. With support from coalition partners, including the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Gilani formed a government and served in that capacity until his disqualification by the Supreme Court in 2012.
