The national legislature of Bosnia and Herzegovina has two chambers: the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples. The House of Representatives consists of 42 members, elected by popular vote for a four-year term. The House of Peoples consists of 15 members, elected by the parliaments of the country's two entities, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska.
