Kingsley Plantation is the name of Kingsley's most famous plantation which is now a part of historical preserve. It is located in Jacksonville, Florida, on the St. Johns River. The plantation was built in 1798 by Zephaniah Kingsley, a free black man who was born in the Caribbean. Kingsley was a successful businessman and plantation owner, and he was also a major player in the Seminole Wars.
