Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers was the family band led by Ziggy Marley, the son of reggae legend Bob Marley. The band was formed in 1979 and consisted of Ziggy on vocals and guitar, his siblings Stephen and Cedella on backing vocals, and his cousins Richard and Anthony on bass and drums, respectively. The Melody Makers released several successful albums and toured extensively before disbanding in 1990.
