A. E. van Vogt (April 26, 1912 – November 25, 2000) was a Canadian-American science fiction writer, known for his Hugo Award-winning novel The World of Null-A. He was a prolific author and wrote over 100 novels and short stories. His writing career spanned the 20th century.
