Vakhtang V () was a Georgian king of the Kartli Kingdom (in modern-day Georgia) from 1703 to 1711. He was the grandson of Giorgi XI and the son of Vakhtang IV. In 1703, he was acknowledged as the King of Kartli by Abbas II, the Safavid Shah of Iran. He ruled in the shadow of the Safavids and his power was limited to Tbilisi and its immediate surroundings.
