Adolf Josef Ferdinand Galland (19 April 1912 – 9 February 1996) was a German fighter ace during World War II and the commander of the Luftwaffe's fighter forces during the final year of the war. He was the highest scoring German fighter ace of all time, with 352 aerial victories.
