The Democratic and Social Centre was elected to the Cortes multiple times. The party first entered the Cortes in 1931, and remained in the legislature until the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in 1936. After the war, the party was banned by the Francoist regime, but was allowed to re-register in 1977.
