Ahmad Kasravi was born in Tabriz, Iran, in 1890. He was an Iranian scholar, philosopher, and historian. He is best known for his work on Iranian history and philosophy, and for his criticism of Islam. Kasravi was a controversial figure, and his writings were often censored by the Iranian government. He was assassinated in 1946.
