Albert I of Belgium was the first King of the Belgians. He ruled from 1909 until his death in 1934. Albert's first child was Leopold III, who was born in 1901. Leopold III succeeded his father as King of the Belgians in 1934. He ruled until 1951, when he abdicated in favor of his son, Baudouin.
