Answer
Yemelyan Pugachev was a Cossack leader who led an uprising against the Russian Empire in 1773–75. He was captured in 1774 and interrogated by General Alexander Suvorov. During his interrogation, Pugachev claimed that he was the rightful heir to the Russian throne, Peter III, who had been overthrown in a coup d'état in 1762. However, Suvorov did not believe Pugachev's claims and had him executed.
