Born in New York City, Andrea Mia Ghez is an American astronomer and professor. She was awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics, jointly with Reinhard Genzel, for their discovery of a supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy. She is the fourth woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Physics.
