Anja Pärson was born on April 25, 1981. She is a Swedish former alpine ski racer who competed in the World Cup from 1998 to 2012. She was one of the most successful female skiers of her generation, winning two Olympic gold medals, seven World Championship medals, and 42 World Cup races. She retired from competitive skiing in 2012.
