Arthur Seyss-Inquart was the Reichskommissar of the Netherlands during World War II. As the head of the German occupation government, he was responsible for the harsh treatment of the Dutch population and the implementation of Nazi policies in the country. Seyss-Inquart was tried for war crimes after the war and executed in 1946.
