Mirza Abu Zafar Siraj-ud-din Muhammad, commonly known as Bahadur Shah Zafar, was the last Mughal emperor of India. He ascended to the throne in 1837 after the death of his father, Akbar II. During his reign, the Mughal Empire faced numerous challenges, including the rise of the British East India Company and the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
