The Gangster Chronicles is a 1981 American television series created by John Gay, directed by Daniel Petrie and starring Martin Sheen as Jack Diamond, a New York mobster who was killed by rival gangster Dutch Schultz in 1931. The series was broadcast on CBS from October 12, 1981 to April 27, 1982. Banks had appearances on The Gangster Chronicles in the episode "The Night We Stole the Statue of Liberty".
