Bryant–Denny Stadium is named after two legendary Alabama football coaches: Paul "Bear" Bryant and Frank Thomas. Bryant coached the Crimson Tide for 25 seasons, winning six national championships. Denny coached for 12 seasons, winning three national championships. The stadium was originally named Denny Stadium in 1929, but was renamed Bryant–Denny Stadium in 1975 to honor both coaches.
