Donovan's Florida Gator teams won the NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007. The Gators defeated the UCLA Bruins in 2006 and the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2007. These two championship wins were the first in school history and helped to establish Florida as a national powerhouse in college basketball. Donovan was named the Naismith College Coach of the Year in both 2006 and 2007.
