Answer
Carl Czerny (1791–1857) was a prolific Austrian pianist, pedagogue, composer, and music publisher. He produced over a thousand works, mostly piano pieces in a range of styles, including variations, études, character pieces, sonatas, and concertos. Czerny was a student of Beethoven, and his works reflect the influence of his teacher. He was also a teacher himself, and many of his students went on to become successful musicians.
