Chandrashekhar Agashe served as the managing agent for the Brihan Maharashtra Sugar Syndicate from 1934 until 1958. He was responsible for the company's growth and success during this time, and helped to make it one of the largest sugar companies in India. Agashe was also a key figure in the development of the sugar industry in India, and helped to establish the Indian Sugar Mills Association.
